As salon professionals, we have seen the excitement of cosmetology students as they complete their training, only to face financial barriers and uncertainty when starting their careers. Many aspiring and newly licensed cosmetologists struggle with the cost of booth rent, lack of business knowledge, and limited access to mentorship, making it difficult to successfully transition from beauty school to a sustainable career.

While cosmetology programs provide essential technical skills, many graduates are not equipped with the financial support, career guidance, or entrepreneurial training needed to build long-term success in the beauty industry. This gap leaves too many talented individuals underprepared and underserved at a critical stage in their journey.

The Stylist Startup Fund Inc was founded to bridge that gap by providing cosmetology scholarships for high school students, grants for newly licensed cosmetologists, and access to business education and mentorship.
