The Stylist Startup Fund Inc is a community-driven nonprofit created by salon professionals who believe every aspiring stylist deserves a strong start. We’re here to uplift the next generation of beauty professionals by removing financial barriers and opening doors to real-world opportunities. With a heart for service and a passion for beauty, we’re building a supportive network where future stylists feel seen, supported, and inspired to grow.

HOW WE SUPPORT THE BEAUTY COMMUNITY

We offer practical business education designed to help emerging stylists succeed beyond the salon chair. From entrepreneurship and branding to professionalism, budgeting, and client management, our workshops and resources fill the gap between beauty school training and real-world business demands. By equipping future professionals with these essential skills, we prepare them to confidently navigate the beauty industry and build long-term careers.

Our mentorship program connects aspiring and newly licensed cosmetologists with experienced beauty professionals who offer guidance, encouragement, and real-world insight. Through one-on-one support and group mentoring, students gain confidence, build professional relationships, and learn what it takes to thrive in today’s beauty industry. We believe that strong mentorship can shape careers, strengthen communities, and inspire lasting success.

COMING SOON! We provide scholarships to high school students who are passionate about pursuing careers in cosmetology, helping cover tuition and supplies so they can begin their journey with confidence. We also offer grants to newly licensed cosmetologists to support their transition into salon life by assisting with booth rent and startup costs. By reducing financial barriers at both stages, we create a clear pathway for emerging stylists to develop their skills, build their clientele, and establish successful, long-term careers in the beauty industry.
